Born of noble stock in Syran, Malaspina was marked from an early age for his wit, charm and deviltry. Already a rebel at heart, who had taken up theism to shock his parents, his discovery of the Ildoday Stone changed his life. Abandoning his careers of duellist by day, gigolo by night, he fled south. Briefly dallying as Four-Tusks Pig to a Ramalian Sow-Queen, he made his way to Handra and thence to sea. He is an incorrigible but successful womaniser, also thanks to Ildoday, and a daring and swashbuckling pirate, having joined the Blood Waters. Always penniless, because what he does not gamble he gifts to his ladies, Malaspina nonetheless thrives on his quick blade, quicker tongue and acrobatic speed. The Ildoday Stone A small phallic icon to a long-dead and -forgotten hero, found by Malaspina and two friends, now enemies. Ildoday's greatest triumphs were of equal parts swashbuckling showmanship and the bedroom. Malaspina is now Ildoday's sole worshipper, although as his devotions involve flirting and bedding, he finds his honorary role as high priest no great chore.
