Eorkan, once No-Clan, was of the Kolatiri clan of the Vantaros, before his expulsion from the tribe (he never gives the same reason twice), though not before being blessed by his clan's Goose Spirit. A literate devotee of Issaries, he now travels and trades in goods and knowledge. He has even been to Tarsh, where he stole the heart of a Lunar priestess, although their ways had to part. While no stranger to the sword, he prefers to rely on his glib tongue and speedy horse to avoid trouble, having little patience for the headstrong ways of Heortling warriors, whose boasts he loves to mock.
