PargAddi Glossary

 
Adarch a sub-officer in the PargAddi, there are 2-3 of them in each Eleven.
Beater: what the members of the PargAddi call themselves.
Brunner: a storm barbarian.
Chungle: stew.
Drubber: recruit.
Eleven: a company. 11 Elevenths or 121 men plus attachments.
Elevenisation: a unit punishment. Elevenisation has two forms. In the first, 1 in every 11 men is killed. In the other, 1 in every 11th is flogged.
Eleventh: a squad. 11 men. Commanded by a kastori.
Hexer: slang for irdexmots in general and wizards specifically.
High-Irdexmot: senior irdexmot in the unit. Each Eleven has one and he commands the Support Eleventh. Has roughly the same authority as an adarch. Is also the designated priest of the Land Waster.
High-Kastori: senior non-commissioned officer in the unit.
Hunter Corp: Imperial organisation that oversees and directs the operations of irregular forces in the Imperial military. Hunter Corp operations are concentrated on and beyond the frontiers of the Empire; operates alongside of the Heartland Corp (infantry) and the Cavalry Corp.
Irdexmot: a specialised soldier within the PargAddi that supplies magical support. Each squad has one and each Eleven has a squad of them.
Kastori: a non-commissioned officer in the PargAddi, usually a squad leader.
Land Waster: a demon that forms the unit Lare. Said by some to be Parg Illisi.
Lare: a Lunar guardian spirit.
PargAdarch: the commanding officer of the PargAddi.
Parg Illisi: founder of the PargAddi.
Pole Run: a punishment. The beater's intestines are stapled to a pole which he then runs around until he collapses and dies or has pulled all of his intestines out. Survivors are healed and returned to duty.
Stompie: regular infantry, specifically heavy infantry.
Unforgiven, the: the PargAddi, alternate name.
Uni-boy: slang for a student of the Imperial Universities. Usually used to describe a graduate of the College of Magic.
